Elections 2011

Following the promulgation of the new constitution of the Republic of Kenya, and in compliance with the changing roles and identification criteria of student leaders, Kuoyo Kochia is proud to be among the pioneering institutions in embracing this emerging trend. Our students are deemed exposed and mature enough to identify amongst themselves leaders who are able to guide them through their stay in this lovely 21st Century School.

ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN TO ANY ELIGIBLE ASPIRANT.

                              Nomination Criteria

All candidates nominated for any position in the students’ council should meet the following criteria:
1.    Must be academically sound. (Should have been in the top 20% of the class in the last two terms).
2.    Must not have been involved in any misconduct which resulted to an appearance before the disciplinary committee and/ or suspension.
3.    Must have sufficient command of both Kiswahili and English (both written and oral)
4.    Must be having requisite interpersonal skills/ should have good public relations, confidence, neatness and overall pleasant personality.
5.    Candidates with previous leadership experience will have an added advantage. i.e. in primary school, church, local youth groups, Kuoyo Kochia etc.  
NB/
    All Nominations should reach the senior master not later than 2:00pm on Sunday 18th September  2011
    All nominations should have a proposer and a two “seconders” giving a brief explanation in not more than 30 words as to why the proposed candidate is deemed fit for the position indicated.
